Halloween 2012

We had such a wonderful Halloween week. We had a ward trunk r treat and one at school and work and then a neighborhood party. BIG WEEK! This year Paisley wanted to be a butterfly and Diesel was super man. CUTE bunch

WE missed alittle of the school one but she didn't care. Thank goodness.
Getting more and more junk at the work party. Not enough kids, WAY to much candy.
This year I was incharge of the neightborhood party. We had a good time and then we walked around with everyone gathering tonz of candy. Around 7 we head home and then let our kids hand out candy. They love it. After 20 minutes we ran out of candy so the kids wanted to hand out the candy they had in there bucket. 20 more minutes went by and we had a candy free house and two happy kids. What little sweet hearts.
Dad was such a good sport and dressed up like a basketball coach. HOT MOMMA!!! Paisley decided that at night she wanted to be a dead lady bug so she added some black to her face and some spots. Funny girl

To Grandmas house we go

We were able to go up to Nyssa last month and had so much fun. We went with lots of cousins to the "The Farm" and jumped on a big pillow and crawled throw the creature and even filled up the whole cow train ride. SOOOO cold for us but we did it.

Just wanted to document that I had to ride the cow ride with Diesel. SOOO FUN!
Diesel and Paisley have been dying to drive a tractor. Grandpa was so nice to let them destroy a field. They loved it.
The trip seemed way to short but it was nice. Brett was off interviewing at Travis air force base and Scott. WE are hoping that he gets a teacher position at one of those bases. We will hear mid December. Fingers crossed.

Local fun

We heard about this little orchard with pumpkin, cider, and donuts so we knew we had to hit that up. We saw some friends in the morning and told them to join if they weren't busy. We had a great time. The donuts were AMAZING and so we the cider. The pumpkins....... they weren't so good and only lasted a week and we had to throw them away. Gotta love vegas.

SChool

Paisley is killing it at school. She loves everything about school and is just taking off. She writes stories everyday and a month ago she wrote this one. " I can see my friends after school." Now she has to write two sentences. She can also read LOTS of books and count to 100 do addition and read read read. Proud mom I am.

conference weekend

Sorry this picture is sideways.oops. We love conference weekend. We hate that we don't live by family. We have made some wonderful friends though so we have them all over every sunday morning of conference. I hate taking pictures of people so I thought I'd do shoes to show how many of us there were. 6 families. Its really perfect because then you are doing your part as a friend but Its only for a hour and a half so its not to crazy.
Another one of those No baby but you had a baby reminder! That sounds worse then I feel. We are moving forward great but every once in awhile things happen that remind me one month ago I had our sweet little girl. I'm almost bald I swear!

What to do when you are sad.......

DISNEY LAND!!!! We hit up Disneyland because we had an extra day pass. It was busy but we had lots of fun. One thing that it was totally good for was me seeing my kids being happy and really seeing how blessed we are. We are very lucky.

One of my favorite pictures of brett. To bad it is sideways and I'm to lazy to fix it. Short trip but what we needed.

fun with grandma

Grandma got diesel a cool costume and man did Diesel love it. Wore it everywhere. Gotta love grandmas

Paisley had her first soccer game. We play soccer as if its basketball. She blocks everyone out and really doesn't care about the ball. Such a funny girl
Doesn't he look funny with his swollen lip. Good sport.
We had to take my mom home after the game and I was so sad. I silent cried a lot. I was going to miss my mom a lot but it was also something that reminded me that it was time to be moving on. Lots of emotions that week.

Bonk

The day after we found out everything with our little LoLa Diesel fell off his stool and hit his front teeth and knocked them back. So bruised and swollen. We didn't see how bad it was until the next morning so I had brett call his cousin who is a peds dentist and lucky enough for us he was in Vegas that day so he stopped by. He said his front teeth might turn black and die but he didn't think so. Luckily they are looking good!!! His face was swollen for awhile thought.

Wicked

In the middle for the crazy week My AMAZING FRIENDS and I planned a night of dining and a Wicked play. Amy, Kata, and I went to this amazing french restaurant in the Palazzo and then hurried to the show and we barely made it. The show was beyond good and it was just what  I needed to keep my mind busy and just some time to talk to my friends about what was happening. This girls have just taken such good care of me. My big concern was for after all of this ended and Brett went to work what would I do and they are calling me all the time and just really taking care of me. They have truly been my angels.
( I know that this photo makes us all look the same size but they both are like 5' 11" and they are wearing heels!!!! We are a funny group.)

Moving on

Well I know I need to start back up on my blog. We have been doing so many fun things as a family and my kids are growing like crazy I really need to get going. For those of you who don't know about a month ago at my 22 week ultra sound we found out our little girl never developed a brain. Normally they don't make it to that point but she had but she wouldn't live for more than an hour after birth. It was hard news for our family but my wonderful mother came down and just took care of us. They send us to a specialist about 5 days later and her heart had stopped. They put some sea weed stuff in me to start dilating me so we could do a DNC on Friday but it put me into labor. It started about 12:44 in the morning and we barely made it to the hospital at 4am and had her minutes later. It really was a horrible process but now we are able to put her on the records of the church as a steel born and there were so many little miracles coming from everywhere. My mom stayed a totally of 11 days and we couldn't have done this without her. We are moving on. Our kids are great and we are excited to try for another one soon. I still think of her often but I'm happy. I know that the lord loves me so much and has helped me soooo much this last month. WE are so blessed and know that makes me so happy.  I know this little paragraph is a mess and doesn't make a lot of since but its all I can do for now. Moving slowly still.

First week of September

Monday Brett had Labor day off so we headed up to Mount Charleston for a lunch picnic and alittle hiking. The weather was so nice and there were alot of people so paisley made tonz of friends. Diesel and Dad found sticks and just had stick fights.

One of the eight friends made that day. Because of school Paisley is having a harder time keeping her emotions under control. She is also really tired so after a couple of hours she had reach the point of no return so we headed home around 430 but we were really sad because we just missed seeing our friends the Nye family.
Paisley and Diesel gave Diesel a hair cute a week ago in the back on a corner and it was really bothering me so Thursday we headed to Super cuts to get a hair cut. Won't go back but its better. We still need lots of help from aunt Krista.

My kids are so wonderful. Really they trust me for some reason and they just aren't scared of things. He was wonderful and got two suckers.
The girl just cut his hair in a straight line. Looked so stupid so I went home and added a nice feather look so he didn't look like  I put a bowl on his head and cut around it.
Saturday we cleaned and rested then hit up the UNLV football game. Really hot but we really like getting out of the house. Paisley really just liked the food but Diesel loved every minute of it. Next time He and dad can go and Paisley and I will do something else fun. ( I love the games but dealing with the constant asking of food is exhausting)

He did it!!!! Diesel is potty trained!! We started Wed. at noon and I wanted to die! Thursday was horrible it. Friday got better and then Saturday because dad was home we had some accidents. We haven't got the pooping thing down or having him tell me everytime he needs to go ( I'm a crazy mom who asks every 45 minutes) But he goes everytime and he had no accidents at church today or at home. DOING AWESOME!!!!
This is the back after I got him home. Much better than the bowl look.

This week flew by. Brett is working like crazy and Paisley is loving school. Diesel and I are getting a schedule down and things are going much better. Lots of projects coming up and I've been trying to good food and this time Pinterest is working out unlike most of the time it says how wonderful the food is then I make it and its horrible. Gotta love Pinterest.

LAst night surprise

Last night brett was working so I was home alone and when I'm alone I pay more attention to noises. I was kindof sleeping on the couch when I heard what sounded like a picture falling off the wall in the hall way. I jumped up and ran to the hall way where I found out little girl sitting on this wood box peeing. SO LOUDLY!!!! She had alot to drink before bed and she was so tired due to the first week of school so she was completely out of it. If she would have only moved 5 more inches there was a little kids toilet but when you got to go you got to go. So funny.

Thought I would let everyone know that we have decided even though its a thousand degrees outside its fall at the Johnsons. We are making pumpkin pancakes every morning. mmmmm so good.

1st pics

Oh this sweet little thing makes me smile. Time is going by so fast and now I'm going to have to share my time with one more kid. I better be stepping up my game.
This shirt is TOTALLY paisley. she picked it out at ross for 5 dollars and she wants to wear it everyday. I had to limit her to once a week and I think that will be hard to keep.
Diesel crying..... for 30 minutes. I didn't realize how much he loved that little girl!

1st day

My camera is in the car so there will be no pictures but I wanted to get some of this down before my pregnant brain forgets. 5:30 Monday morning I see hands waving in my face with a big smile. MOM I'm going to kindergarden today!!!! She was so excited. I tried to make her sleep til 6:30 but it was pointless. She looked so cute her first day, we decided that we would run to school so that we wouldn't have to deal with all the cars there. We ran into Ava and Lizzie on the way which made going to school even more exciting. As Paisley crosses over the fence Diesel loses it. NO PAISLEY NO SCHOOL NO TEACHER NOOOO cried for about 30 minutes. Until I got him to a little park on the way home. The day was quiet and I was able to get alot done but we did miss her. A LOT!!
We left the house early to grab her because who wants to be the kids who has to wait forever becuase your mom late to pick you up. She looked still excited when we grabbed her but when I asked her how it was she went quiet. "It was ok mom. well it was boring. No fun." My face drops and I'm nervous. I asked how her teacher was. " fine she just talks about RULES RULES RULES BORING!!!" I convinced her that it was just the first day and thats how it goes but tomorrow it would be better. That made her feel alot better about things (Thank goodness) I was feeling guilty for putting her in full day kindergarden because no one else did. Was I a bad mom. Am I selfish? Why can't I just be like everyone else?? After talking with my husband and our parents awhile ago we knew that it was right for paisely. Shes not like other kids. She is so busy and loves to learn and really needs to be busy all day. I know its right for her but when I heard those words of hating school I wanted to rip her out of that class and have her only there 2 and 1/2 hours instead of 6. Besides the fact that I wouldn't have to spend 400 dollars a month that I don't have haha. But I know that this is what is best for her and our family. When we get LoLa in January paisley will need time with her and time away and so will the rest of us. She is so smart and her teacher will really push her and for that I'm greatful.
Today (tuesday) was so much better. Diesel still cried for about 30 minutes and again at the gym for paisley but we had a good day so hes getting used to it. Amy picked Paisley up for me and she came in so happy. Much better mom. her teacher is very strict so I hope paisley can still bond with her and like her. But what I love about us getting our time apart is that I get everything done and then I was able to sit down and watch a movie with her which never happens. We went to the library and then to petsmart to get food and check out all the animals. We don't fight until about 6 and she is so tired but really we get to enjoy eachother now and I'm loving that.

Side note: tonight paisley saw an old invitation that her friend natalie gave her for her birhtday party and out of the blue paisley says "she must have let me keep that so that I will always be invited to her party." I asked her what she was talking about and she grabbed her invitation and said "Natalie is going to let me keep this so that I can always come to her party, even when she is really old" Eternal friends how cute.

17 weeks

Well we are growing like crazy over here. I took this picture friday (august 24) and i swear I've put on a pound since then. Everything is getting tighter!  We are having a little girl for those who didn't know. Her name will be LoLa Jean Johnson! The kids say her name so cute. We are very excited!

Mommy's Bed

I've had all the supplies for this bed for months but it was just over whelming and I knew that I would need my husbands help.... alot of help. Finally last week we tackled it. My husband worked so hard and I think it turned out great. Not to bad huh.

Pay Back

My mom has been needing to get a surgery done for awhile and things just kept coming up. Finally Aug 3 she was able to get it done and I was able to pay her back for always taking care of me.  While I was packing for the trip Diesel and Paisley really wanted some chocolate pudding. As soon as I left the room Diesel began coloring himself. Not what I needed when I was hurrying to leave on time. But man is that face sooo cute or what!!
We got in Thursday night before my mom had surgery and we were able to go to the county fair ( by the way my husband says I always seem to find a way to make it up there and he is so right, its so getto but its just home to me) Easton was singing that night and we made it just in time to watch her shine. She is so brave and has such a cute  voice.

Then we had to grab some snow cones. These snow cones really turned your face colors. Thats why I went for the sugar free lemonade.
We are just heading into the produce shed. Some of the family didn't do produce this year and I really let them have it. Its so fun to see what everyone has grown and then they do pictures and make things and sew. Its just so fun.
The morning of my moms surgery my dad took her over there and we were able to watch Regan show her steer. The pigs all finished the day before but we were so glad to atleast see regan. Rhett and Diesel really liked playing with eachother. Its cute to see all those little boys.
Regan did so good. It was her first year and you would have never known it. I don't' think the judge even did. AWESOME job regan

The rest of the week we stayed around my moms house. Her biggest job is feeding a couple of men a day for lunch so we were always there to do that for her and then laundry and cleaning and making sure she was taking her medicine and deep breathes and all the fun things you don't want to do when you don't feel good. My sister in law Tara was so good to me. She took my kids lots of time and they just loved it. My sister in law Erin also took my kids for the afternoon to a jump house and they came home so tired and I love that. I really was nice to spend alittle time with my mom taking care of her. I really have the worlds best mom and it felt good taking care of her and my dad.
Thursday before we left to go to utah we hit up the Vale pool. Paisley had to swim from one side of the pool to the other with out stopping or touching if she wanted to go off the driveing board. I knew she could do it and I was so proud of her when she did. Look at that cool jump.
Diesel wasn't my star that day. He didn't like the baby pool at all and mom really didn't want to get in the big pool. I also think when there is all those kids around he gets alittle nervous.
We also spent lots of time visiting grandma and grandpa and all the cousins and families. Tara and I did fresh freezer corn for my mom. And they finally got to go on a Tractor ride with Grandpa. After the tractor I took them on a long four wheeler ride and we stopped to see Micheal and Shiela's family. It was a long night but sure worth it.
Friday morning we headed to Utah to pick up dad from the airport and head to the Johnson family reunion.
